Response to Review of From Eden to Eternity

I am happy to accept this thoughtful review, which (inter alia) offers helpful suggestions concerning how the book's parameters could be extended. My primary concern was to concentrate on the contributions of late-medieval schoolmen, which often require extensive explanation of the kind here provided, though I do reach out to include some vernacular materials, and evidence from manuscript illumination and painting. Suffice it to add that my third chapter is concerned to describe how the final paradise (the so-called patria, the homeland of the blessed) was believed to surpass the first paradise (Eden), so the book as a whole could be deemed an essay in comparative paradise studies!
